Due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, we could not postpone the meeting anymore and held a virtual 24-month meeting over the internet on the 26th of October 2020, organized by MIMPlus. The project was prolonged for three months, as some of the work could not be completed due to limitations in each partner’s working environment. Even due to the restrictions, a lot of the work has been done and presented inthe virtual meeting. Magneti, MIMPlus, Hochschule Pforzheim, and Jožef Stefan Institute presented new results concerning new magnets’ productionfrom recycled material. The results are very promising with all techniques applied; regular sintering, the SDS method, and SPS sintering. IVL also presented new results for the Life cycle and Cost cycle assessment. The database of end of life magnets is more and more complete. It already gives a better picture that the collection, dismantling, sorting, recovering, enhancement, and production of EOL magnets is much more complicated and time-consuming than envisioned at the beginning of the project due to unregulated magnet production. Leonard Ansorge from the recycling company Rocklink attended the meeting as an associate partner. The next meeting is planned for the beginning of next year, probably again as a virtual meeting.
